Sometimes, I dream about a boy. I dream about a boy who can make me laugh ‘til my stomach is cramping and my eyes are tearing. Who will make me laugh when I’m depressed, angry, and at inappropriate times. Who will wrestle and play fight with me. Sometimes, I dream about a boy who I can be my true self around. Who I can tell everything to without being ashamed or embarrassed. Who will accept me with all my awkwardness and imperfections. Who will sing to me even though he’s bad at it. Sometimes, I dream about a boy who dresses with class and style. Who wears ties and sometimes cardigans. Who doesn’t sag or curse all the time. Who loves God as much as I do. Sometimes, I dream about a boy who will respect me. Who will tell me everything and won’t keep things from me. Who will pour his heart out to me and let’s me pour mine back. Who will look at me like there is no place else he’d rather be. Sometimes, I dream about a boy who would love me.
